I have the first ipod touch: 8 Gb. Model MA623LL
I jailbroke it the day I got it. I use it primarily for web browsing, MobileTerminal and cydia. I'm still running firmware 1.1.4 and I would like to upgrade to the newest firmware I can run on this device and still jailbrake and get cydia. can somebody point me in the right direction.

Update to 3.1.2 from iTunes and then go to
    http://www.blackra1n.com
and download blackrain, open it and click 'make it ra1n' while having your iPod plugged in. Voila! You're jailbroken. Much easier than the 1.x days.
