    My device is jailbroken obviously.
I've attempted to add sources to Cydia, and at 1st it verifies that the source is legit and then an error keeps popping up. and tells me to click "Return to Cydia".
IDK wtf this means. but it refuses to let me add sources.

Grap your iPhone by the testicles and hump it like you've never humped before.

    EDIT: Did it work?

i was having a similar problem with my iphone 4. using ifile or ssh go to private/var/lib/apt/list and delete any sources and source info that your having a problem with(user added). theres also more things to delete in
private/var/lib/apt/list/partial. look in the plists and delete the messed up sources from them also. back them folders up first
this is what i had to do to add sources after i jailbroke and restored from a backup on my iphone 4. now on my 3g after i jailbroke and set up as new, i didnt have this problem so im assuming something in my old backup file corrupted some of these sources causing problems when i tried to add new ones. now its fine.

only other thing to do would be to replace that whole http file with a new one but i dont think were allowed to talk about/do that on here

alright .. so the thing is tho, idk how the hell to do that stuff you're talking about other than ssh/cyberduck... that pop up prevents me from being able to add any sources tho.. idk how to pick out sources that are messed up.

this is an issue with Cydia itself, i've been getting these issues since i jailbroke...and before this one.. i would get a "Error:HTTP/1.1 404 not found"

whatever help i can get.. is much appreciated!

If you can ssh go to the the directory and find the http file that that message says is not working right. The only thing I can think to do would be to delete that file and replace it with a working one. I have a working one that I could email you to replace

no it didnt work, the type of file u sent isn't even the same as the original http in it.

the original has a Terminal icon, the one you sent is a blank file icon.
