Can I go into an apple store with my 3gs already on a 3g data plan, keep that plan, and then buy an iPhone 4 and put it on the plan?

oh. If thats the case I'm sure you can. Just check with the ATT rep about transfering your current plans over to the new device.

You would need to buy an unlocked iPhone 4 to do that. Those cost big bucks.

You did the text thing and received that message? Then bring it up with AT&T and not Apple.

Ok because the dude in the video said if you are switching to the new device that you can keep you old unlimited plan. So I will be going to the at&t store too.

Friend of mine upgraded and somehow kept his $30 unlimited data plan.
But he's ridiculously loaded, so he might have done the unlocked phone thing that was mentioned. He DOES have an iPhone 4 with $30 unlimited, so it is possible... that lucky son of a..... haha.
