i am thinking about getting an iphone, but they are very nice and expensive, and i sometimes have to take my phone places and it can get dirty, scratched, wet, dropped or possibly broken. so, i would just have a cheap phone just for certain occasions probably about once or twice a week for a couple hours. this probably isnt possible, but could i have an iphone and another cheap phone on the same number and switch in between them without having to call at&t? like will it just work? or is there something i can do?
    thanks

Yes, as long as the second cheap phone is unlocked, or AT&T ready.

dont think u can have multiple sim cards for the same account so u'd have to swap sim cards for each, and once the sim card is out of the other phone, it has nothing to do with your account so it doesnt matter what u do with the other phone, its the sim card that matters most.

    ya what he said.
you can get 10 phones if you want lol, but you must change the sim card from one phone to the other in order to make each one usable.
you cannot have more than one sim card for one number.

if you make 2 lines, you get 2 sim cards and a bigger phone bill lol.
