can i use the (5th gen) ipod video's hard drive as an external hard drive for my pc?

because my ipod video 30gig is dead and i want to make use of it as an external hard drive. like storage for my downloaded anime, etc.

is there a way? like a usb adaptor or something?

btw. what i mean is the hard drive inside, NOT using the ipod dock cable or something.

I don't think so. YOu can use the usb cable to connect to it and use diskaid to put your files in the media folder or something.

Then either the hard drive or battery is dead... Most probably the hard drive though.
