Dude..a little bit stupid this question but...ok:

I think you want to "navigate" your car with this aplication...

    The answer is:

No, it's not possible to use Maps in the car without Wi-Fi !

It seems that the iPot save the last map or trip thay you have searched or used, and you can use it without connection to the network.

Someone earlier talked about dumping the images to like where its saved or something. Not sure, but if I find anything out about it i'll let you know.

The Touch will save the last set of directions, as well as map images of where you need to turn. It will show where you start (satellite or street) and skip to where you need to make your next turn. It helped me get from DEN to Georgetown. No too tough of a drive though.

Just to confirm what was already said, it can be used but only the last list of direction can be seen with images to view and a list to read. it can not be updated on the fly unless you find a connection. Its no GPS but a pretty good alternate.

if you really needed to, you could take screenshots with the 'dock' app and then bring them back up with 'Preview' and 'Finder' apps.

    I don't think this is a stupid question. Don't be a jerk.

I was a geek in high school, just like you... but Spaxx, I would have whipped your ass.
