Just upgraded my ipod touch to 1.1.5. It did this autamatically when I downloaded the latest version of itunes. Before I jailbreak it again I would like to know if I can upgrade to the latest firmware for free or do I have to pay through itunes.

    No.
Firmware 2.0.2 WILL cost money, unless you download it illegally (which is not to be discussed here).

Please search in future, there are plenty of threads discussing this.

He said he's on FW 1.1.5, so he'll need to pay to upgrade to 2.0 at which point future updates are free.
