I use my iPod Touch 2g for podcasts, reading (using Stanza), and playing occasional games. I regularly refresh podcasts in iTunes. Then when I connect the Touch I would like for it to just sync the changed items without going through the _lengthy_ process of backing up everything on the Touch. Is there any way to do this? (Or am I misunderstanding the terms "backup" and "sync"?)

Just hit the "x" when it's backing up.

    Thanks for the quick replys.

Sometimes I'm in a hurry to get out the door and want to sync new podcasts before I go. The entire backup and sync process seems to take forever, when I'm in a hurry. (My iPod Nano used to sync in just a few seconds--no backup.

I have nothing on the Touch that can't be easily replaced without keeping a backup.

Which "x"? The one on the computer or the one on the Touch?

No, only if you click it twice.
