I have a 1 gen ipod touch 16gb. When i turned it on it was in a booting loop. All i would see is the apple logo and the spinning circle. So i put it in dfu mode and now there is a white screen. But i never backed it up so is there i was i can backup it up right now. I had many apps and it was jailbroken on OS 3.0.

If it doesn't manage to boot, you won't be able to back up.
However, if it's SpringBoard that's broken, you may be able to SSH in and backup any vital files

The SWOD can be caused by either the iDevice not booting or SpringBoard failing to load. If it is caused by the latter, SSH is possible.

Your songs will still be in iTunes, as well as your applications, assuming they weren't cracked. Backup your /Applications folder to keep your jailbroken applications.

If they were cracked will i be able to back them up and the computer that i used to upload songs is gone because i formated the harddrive.
