I've really got irritated by this.
Loading Data screen on Cydia takes 2 minutes and 53 seconds to load. Then it downloads and says Reloading Data Again. It really takes me five minutes to load cydia.

I don't know why this is taking so long
I have a 3rd gen. It has a faster processor and double the memory. My friend has the really old iPhone, and its loads cydia in 20 seconds....

It all depends on how many sources you have.

If it has lots of packages, there's your issue.

You can always check off the Them section just to load it faster. Other than that you might just want to have one source that you use the most.
