Does anyone know if I can increase the system font? I need the icon's lettering to be a little larger.

    Thanks

assuming you already have jailbroken your touch, use fontswap and use a large font off of cydia

Though I have jailbroken my Touch, what are the real benefits over not doing it?

Right click on Desktop. Go to the properties...Then the screen tab...and down your resolution. You'll see in your view box what it will change to...if you just wanna change your font size and leave everything else go to the appearance tab and change the font size there.
