it sounds ridiculous but i have a pantech matrix, and my ipod touch gets pretty lonely when im out and about, so i wanted to know if there was a way to either connect my ipod to the internet on my phone, or get my phone to get wi-fi

Does your phone run on Windows Mobile?
    Is it a smartphone?

It may be able to be done.

It helps if you tell us what kind of phone you have... and if it has wifi.

If you have windows mobile, you can tether to create an access point. Costs quite a bit of money though.

You can do it for free, but most service providers dont like it, and if they catch you some how can ding you bad for teathering, but at the same time they really dont have a way of knowing if you are.

So pantech is usually WinMo so, if it is, download WMWiFiRouter, and enjoy!
