I'm a little nervous jailbreaking my iTouch. Obviously, Apple is going to do something to try to negate this hack.

If, before installing (or not installing) the next update, I restored my iTouch to the factory settings (via iTunes) will I be OK? That is, will I be in the same position I am in now?

I know I'll lose all my content, but that's not a problem

If this question/issue has been dealt with before, please point me in the right direction. I have looked but couldn't find my answer.

    why??

Rule of thumb. Wait to update until you KNOW what will happen. When that update comes out, watch the forums...

It should be fine if you do that but I agree with minznerjosh you should wait until you know what will happen.
