I am hesitating to upgrade my Jailbroken 1.1.4 iPod Touch because I don't know a lot about 2.0. My main question is can I get 1.1.4 apps onto a 2.0 iPod. If you can, it would be helpful if someone had a link to a guide or could explain it or something. I searched for a thread that had the answer to my question and couldn't find one so I'm sorry if this is a duplicate. I'm also sorry if this is the wrong category. Thank you in advance to anyone who can help me.

No you can't, there are different frameworks

There are some apps on 2.0, and more are being ported all the time.

You cant take 1.1.4 apps across to 2.0 yourself, as the coding base is completely different. However, lots of 1.1.4 apps such as Mxtube and PocketTouch are being ported across by the designers. On balance, I would say upgrade, as the App Store has some good stuff, and most of the 1.1.x apps will eventually be on 2.0.x

Nope. Sorry. Just jailbreak on 2.0. You can get Cydia or whatever or you can purchase apps from iTunes.

Ok, thanks. I guess this means I'm moving on to 2.0
