Since the iPhone 4 is locked to T-Mobile in Netherlands can I buy one from there and use it in the US with 3G?

Unless you buy it from Apple and not T-Mobile NL in Netherlands, it would be locked to T-Mobile NL
    3G with whom? AT&T or T-Mobile? The iPhone 4 doesn't support T-Mobile 3G.

The NL T-mobile has the right bands for 3G on the iPhone.. Thats why there allowed to sell I believe.

But in America, with T-Mobile you would need an unlock and only be able to use the EDGE service.

Mhm. T-Mobile NL and T-Mobile U.S.A have different 3G bands. The only similarities between them is that they share the name and are both subsidiary of Deutsche Telekom.

I too wish the iPhone 4 would support T-Mobile USA 3G.
It's a pain to surf the internets on EDGE.
