Going traveling with my Touch and want to be able to take all contacts, notes, etc. with me on DVD in case i need to restore but don't have my laptop with me. Is this possible? How do I go about it?

    Thanks!

    First download Backup from iTunes

    To Backup:

    1) Put DVD in slot on bottom of iPod
    2) Open Backup Application
    3) Choose the DVD option
    4) Wait

    To Restore:

    1) Put DVD back in iPod
    2) Open Backup Application
    3) Tap restore
    4) Wait while everything is copied back to iPod

Backing it up to a DVD seems useless, since its stored on your computer anyway. But if you must, navigate to /Library/Application Support/MobileSync/Backup/ and copy the files to a DVD, then copy them back to a computer and use iTunes to restore from them.
