When you press send does it crash?

I have same problem as you I believe, whenever I click send, the mail app crashes on me.

I've done the chmods many times as well as re-uploading the program...

Hmm... You just copied over the mail app from the 1.1.1 filesystem and the mailbundle and then you applied the chmods and it works?! ... odd...

Which Mail are you using with it? I had the same problem with my mail on my mac.
I did a search and somewhere on this board I found the answer. Sorry, I can't find the exact thread again as it took me too long to find it. ANYWAY

    On your iPoT click on:
    1. settings
    2. mail
    3. the account that you can't send from
    4. scroll to the bottom and click advanced.
    5. Under your "outgoing settings" change the server port # to 25.

This worked great for me. Let me know if it works.

IMPORTANT. Do not change your "incoming settings port" only Outgoing.

If you are having trouble "sending" mail, you should not have to mess with the incoming port.
If you cannot receive mail then you would need to set that. Well anyway, incoming port is 110, outgoing port 25.
