    hey guys,
I really hate to do this, I realize you guys get this question a lot, but for whatever reason the search function is not working for me, so I'm kinda forced to make a thread. I'm a bit of a noob when it comes to jailbreaking and what not, so if someone could link me to, or post step by step instructions for jailbreaking a 3rd Gen Ipod Touch running on 3.1.3, I would greatly appreciate it. I want the type of jailbreak where if you turn it off, you still have the jailbreak if you turn it back on(untethered?) Again, I apologize for posting this, but like I said this is kind of my only option, I have more faith in you guys then I do searching google and watching random videos on how to jailbreak. I have tried jailbreaking once before with some random youtube guys method, and the results weren't good. So thank you in advance, hope you can help a noob out...

Go there and download the right version for your Operative system
Also make sure you have iTunes 9.1 or lower (9.2 wont work)

It is a untethered jailbreak, which means that if you "turn it off, you still have the jailbreak if you turn it back on"

hey if you want all those sources jsut go to youtube type in best cydia sources or something close to that and watch the video and get all the links they provide. then you go to cydia hit manage at teh bottom and go to sources then in the top it should say edit and press that then press add and type in your source to the little box that pops up these will give you tons of packages and once the thing verifies it a new package should show up in the cydia<sources menu. BTW it has to be exact one error will cause it not to work
