Hi I want to jailbreak but not unlock my iPhone 3g was jailbroken now upgraded to 4.1 but not unlocked it needs to stay with o2.
    I would like multitasking too.
Now I've searched for guides all over google and I come by alot of guides but which ones best to use? Most of them get to the end before they say mac only! Or it's an old guide.
I have windows vista, and I can update whateves needed but if someones got a working guide or a little advice please let me know.

Have you got a good guide?

That's what I mean some people say it is some say not? Why is this?

Anyway does this stop me downgrading to an earlier firmware version (which one)?
If I downgrade and jailbreak am I likely to get multitasking still I really like this feature.
Thanks for your quick reply by the way.

pretty sure you can downgrade to any firmware considering you have old bootrom, and all you have to do for multitasking is edit a plist, so yes multitasking is still available

Download redsnow, get the 4.1 firmware, and drive up to the Apple store.

    No, it doesn't.

Either finds someone with a Mac and use redsn0w or wait for it to be ported to Windows.
