Most of us have the camera ticking problem. This is not the camera however. It is the microphone that is causing the ticking when wifi is turned on. I know this is true because when I tested it out by making a voice memo, I heard the same kind of ticking.

    Ummmm.....
It could still be the camera
The microphone could pick it up, and record it...

I cant be the camera because they camera was not running. The microphone is picking up some kind of wifi interference.

Either way, it's a software issue. Can't wait till it's fixed.

That's not guaranteed to be software because it's due to interference with the WiFi chip. Unless software can change the location of these two, it is hardware related. But if it is software, we'll know by the next update. But I'm still pushing towards hardware.

It only happens when WiFi is on... it has to be a software issue. But yes, we will find out shortly.

I don't have an iPod Touch 4G but if you could try, enable Airplane mode, and keep WiFi on.. and record. See if it goes away.

I wouldn't worry about this, at least not until the next software release.

If its hardware, it won't be fixed. If it isn't, it'll be fixed and will fade into a memory.
