It seems most of us are bound to get what we've been waiting for: an iPod Touch with a camera.

According to an article at The Examiner, 'an inside source' has revealed that the iPod Touch with camera will possibly be released in Spring 2010. The camera will supposedly be the same as the one found on the new iPod Nano (capable of shooting video only).

A more detailed explanation, via the New York Times.

You're a sad, bitter person... It must suck for your family.

I kinda don't want a camera as much as I did. But then again, I wouldn't mind one

Video allows for more forgiving quality. You have more time to look at a photograph, and a photograph is still. You can properly assess the quality. By making it video only, you have moving footage, in which you cannot assess the quality as accurately, giving it a better score as to how good its quality is. In this way, Apple is artificially boosting the quality of its camera and giving the device a better value.

And trust me, you don't want an extremely sh*tty camera.

There isn't enough space for a still camera.
