Ok so my dad wants to get all these songs on his mp3 player, but all my songs are in m4a (apple lossless?). its some good quality stuff, but to do this, i will need to convert most of my library to mp3. Will there be a difference between .m4a and mp3 (mp3 bitrate will be 320kbps)

ALAC (m4a) has way higher bitrates than MP3, since its, you know, Lossless.

It varies. There is a slight difference between 320kbps and lossless, whether he hears the difference is a different quesion.

doesnt audiochecker say 320kpbs VBR mp3 is like 95% quality?
so the difference would be like very small?

^Yes; he auditioned them, not owns; cuz they are.

If you're gonna post here say something on topic.

On topic: I've always been satisfied with 320kbps, even with nicer headphones. Of course there is a difference, but it's not huge.

    Yeah, very small differences.
Yus that's me. Lighting from outside made it blue-ish, and I excluded the colour of the headphone using photoshop and made the headphone white. I might change it...

What happens is it cuts off the frequency about 20kHz that can't be heard by the human ear. I prefer V0 for my iPod/iPhone.
