I wanted to get the GNU C++ Compiler running on my iPod Touch, and to get around the libgcc issue I installed a deb package someone posted in this thread:

I was able to install everything, and now when I try to compile it says I'm missing the lstdc++ library.

I checked, there is a symlink in usr called "libstdc++.dylib" (which might be the wrong name?), but the target is just "libstdc++.6.dylib" and there is no such file.

Can anyone help me get this compiler running?

By the way the same thing happens when I try to use gcc: "Library not found for lgcc_s.10.5".
