Im currently running a 2g ipod touch with 3.1.2 (didnt feel like updating) I have full access to my schools wifi connection but it seems they block the servers certain apps connect to. I cant access apps such as TextNow, Youtube, Weather, etc. I also notice you cant spoof your mac address on a 2g with the new Mac hardware. Is there any bypass to let me use my apps at school?

I wouldn't,. They set those rules for a reason and by passing will only cause trouble,

Its a hardware block, not software, probably not going to be able to pass it on the touch.. Maybe do what I do.. use a neighbors of the schools lol

It's not possible from your iPod.

I never knew you could use iPods at school. YouTube is banned for a reason, you're using the internet while at school. Why? Does it hurt to wait until school's over, and you can go home to use your internet?

They've also blocked GAME sites. You're not supposed to be playing games at school anyways.

They block these for a reason.

The only thing you can do is find some Proxy servers (actual server numbers) and go into WiFi settings. Hit the arrow next to your schools WiFi SSID, and select "Proxy". Punch a number into there and it should work. Make sure your proxy supports https though.

Just to let you know, proxies will get blocked, so good luck with this... The best thing to do is to just not fight the system. They could just end up blocking your device, so you'll go from some blocks to all blocked.

Yeah, and why would they block YouTube in college?

I seriously doubt he's in college.
