    I got offered 510$, for a brand new iPhone 3GS 16GB, version 3.1.2.
    But I have questions ;

    1.Does it worth it?
    2. Is it jailbreakable or unlockable?
    3.I heard it's unlockable, but people said their service wasn't showing up, etc.
    4.What is Cydia?

    Thanks in advance guys !

    Unless you need an unlocked phone, I would wait until the 4G comes out in June.

    Even if you do need an unlocked iPhone, waiting until June would be your best bet because the prices of 3GSs will drop with the release of the next-gen.

    Well, they are sold for 700$ in store now. So I guess they will only drop by 100$. :c

    Also, is there a chance of brick?

    There is but it is a very little chance. Also the prices will drop on eBay and other sites I'm sure when the new iPhone is released.

    I don't feel like waiting. :c
    It's like far far far away.

    Edit ; If I follow tutorials step by step, will I still get a chance of brick?
    Also, about unlocking, is it risked?

    VERY slim chance of bricking, due to DFU mode getting you out of anything.

    Trust me, the like 2-3 month wait is nothing compared to the 2 year wait i gotta do to upgrade my 3G cause i "would die if i didn't have an iPhone before going away for the summer!" and that was a like 6 day wait till 3GS came out lol... I then realized i could have gotten it shipped to the hotel i was staying at rofl. XD

    You can't brick the iPhone.

    Brand New as in the person has had it for a while but never opened the box or brand new as in he just got it from Apple? Because if he just bought it from Apple or ATT it probably has the new bootrom which means it will be tethered jailbreak. No way of knowing it's unlockable unless he sends you more crucial information. If I were you, I would just wait until the new iPhone comes out.
