Buying a 16gb black iPhone today.....in about 2 hours from now (it's 10.00am is Australia).

I have a 32 gb touch but the allure of the iPhone has been to great and I have succumbed....I'm damn excited!

Sweet. I have a 2g iPod Touch, and went to the store the other day to compare to the 3g. The back is awesome, too bad they didn't put that on the Touch.

How much are plans per month in Australia?

Here in America the iPhone plan is like $30 more a month than the regular ATT plan would be.

I pulled the pin on this idea manram. I got to the shop and was all set to go and after holding the iPhone in one hand and my 2g in the other.....boy oh boy the iPhone looked like a clunker on steroids.

The plan was $70.00 per month over 2 years - $840.00 per year $1680.00 in total.

I'm not a huge SMS or cell phone user......and I kept balancing them both in my hands and after some quiet contemplation and soul searching, politely handed the iPhone back to the salesperson and declined to go any further.

I learnt something today....be satisfied with what you have....somethings aren't always necessarily better.
