I just saw the offer on O2's network for Palm Pre's and iPhones, which is definitely not fair for us U.S. users (O2=about $50 a month plus free iPhone or Palm Pre, or even pay as you go, but At&T offers plans at $80+plus $30. and you have to buy the phone). My question is because O2 offers roaming, couldn't I just buy the iPhone online, jailbreak it, and then use the O2 network? Or would the frequencies not work? Do you have to be a registered UK resident to buy a phone on the O2 network online. If you do, would anybody here who is a UK resident be kind enough to buy me one and then transfer the account

I'm sorry, but somebody in the US is complaining that the UK is getting a better deal?? This happens so rarely that I don't believe you have the right to say it isn't fair!!!!

Oh, and for that £30 ($50) a month, you get the lowest plan and you still have to pay for the phone -
    iPhone 3G 8GB - £97 ($160)
    iPhone 3GS 16GB - £185 ($306)
    iPhone 3GS 32GB - £275 ($455)

If you do want the phone free, you have to pay a hell of a lot more for your tarrif -

    Cheapest Tarrif -
    iPhone 3G 8GB £34 ($56) per month (24 month contract)
    iPhone 3GS 16GB £44 ($72) per month (24 month contract)
    iPhone 3GS 32GB £73 ($121) per month (24 month contract)
