I was wondering if anyone know how to remap the buttons on the iPod touch 2G? i.e. make the volume button do what the power off button does.

My power off button is not working most of the time, apple canceled my warranty, and I need to go into DFU mode or be able to turn on the device if it's off.
I wonder if there is a way to do it on the software side, or is the Power off button hardware hardcoded?

that would be cool. One way you can sleep it and power it off is you could install QuickLock and SBSettings and just use the power button on that.
