I got this as a gift for my speakerless ipods from ThinkGeek, and they don't sound half bad either. My question is, can the volume buttons be used for other uses on the 1st gen ipod touch, such as a next/previous kind of thing for songs?

I believe that there is a tweak called something like Glove Song or something (it allowed you to use the volume buttons on the side to move songs up and down)

I'm think he's talking about the buttons on the speaker. I don't think they can though, because it's probably just changing the volume in the speaker, and not the actual ipod.
