Every time I plug in my iPod, I get the BSOD (Blue screen of death) and it's so frusterating because I can't even sync my iPod touch anymore. Does anyone know what I can do to troubleshoot this? The BSOD goes away so fast I don't have time to read what it says.

Update your drivers. You should be able to go check for updates at your manufacturers website.

That may not solve the problem, but outdated drivers are a common cause of blue screens.

Ouch.. Windows problems. Uh... try what he said. Reinstall the drivers.. better yet.. re-install iTunes. That should do it.

Why not? Also reinstalling iTunes may do the trick.

I meant to go check if there are updates. If you can, reinstall/update the USB drivers.

The USB driver is probably causing the problem here, but it's good to have updated drivers in general.

iTunes installs all iPod/iPhone drivers when you install/reinstall it.

I'm pretty sure it's not a hardware conflict considering I've had my notebook for a year and a half and my ipod has always worked with it.
