I think that someone should port or develop a new browser for the ipod touch because mobile safari is so crap. It doesn't have flash and java (yes I know everyone says that), it can't download files, you can't search the page, you can't open pages in new tabs and the problems go on.

...are you serious? For what it is, Safari is THE BEST mobile browser out there! Especially for the multi-touch. You think Firefox will be better? Hah!

Yes firefox would be better, if it supported the add-ons. I would like google browser sync for a start./

Also safari doesnt show my router config page correctly, even on a macbook. Firefox does.

OK, well, you port it then. You find good controls and you learn how to interface the add ons. If the addons are more then HTML/Javascript add ons, you find a way to compile them for the iPhone. Also, you learn how to do tabs on the iPhone, oh and don't forget that you need to work on the "java/flash!"

What a waste of server space....

There seems to be a distinct lack of respect on this forum sometimes.
