I wanted to know if there is a way to run the safari browser without wifi. Right now I have a wap proxy server on my pc to use my mobile phone browser, it just has my home cable modems ip address in the phone settings and connects to that and my proxy software to run the mobile web. Can something like this be done so I can use the internet on the ipod touch so I don't have to rely on wifi when I'm not at home? Thanks!!

The iPod Touch only uses Wi-Fi. Only thing you could maybe do is bring up a web page when you're in a Wi-Fi area then just keep it loaded if you still want to look at it while not connected. That's about it.

Don't iPhones use there service to browse the web? I swear they did, on my friends iPhone we didn't have WiFi and we'd browse the web fine.

Oh wait, this is iPod Touch Tech help..XD

no...they dont..voice and data are 2 different things. The vast majority you get voice service you get data but not everywhere.
