I have an old first gen iPod touch that I've bought way back in October 2007 and unfortunately, the screen no longer works. It doesn't even turn on or display anything. Back in 2009 when this issue happened, if I connected the iPod to my pc or to my wallcharger it signaled that it was charging, so I know it was probably not a battery issue. I've tried to restore it but the iPod wouldn't cooperate back then or today. The battery today probably can no longer hold a charge as I cannot make the iPod make that notification when connected to a power source again. I know I can send it for repairs but it woud probably cost as much as a brand new iPod. Suggestions on what to do with this paperweight would be appreciated.
