I think my ipod touch's screen is broken. If I leave it in springboard doing nothing apps automatically open. In cydia it automatically goes to the sections part. Any idea what I can do to fix it? I dfu restored but it's still acting weird. I haven't dropped it or hit.

I would try restoring, and when it asks you to restore from backup, say set up as new iPod. That /should/ fix any problems you are having. Then you can redo your settings/jailbreak.

Yeah, restore and set up as new iPod would be the best option.

seems like it might actually be a screen problem. restoring won't fix it i think because there's nothing you can do without purposefully modifying the firmware that would make that happen. the screen probably has a section near the bottom that has constant pressure because of deformed glass or it has a faulty touch sensor.

Ah, so the screen could be always reacting, even when nothing is there.

Have you tried thoroughly cleaning it? Regardless, you are still well within warranty, since your device is a third generation iPod touch. I'm sure this will be covered; just be sure to restore (not from backup) to remove any evidence of the jailbreak before you send it in to Apple.

Apple sent me a not so refurbished refurbished iPod that opened the calender app for fun all on it's own. I tore a strip off the poor tech guy.
