No, there is no way to fix this.
Restore and then send it in to Apple if you haven't already.

Oh... well that blows. You can connect it to your computer to power it on though, so then you can restore it.

there's no way to fix this yourself, but you could learn to live with it and get an app on cydia that turns off your ipod without using the power button on top. (useful for people like you who dont have a working power button anymore) =D good luck

    Download SBSettings and iHome,
When you want to lock just slide across the status bar on top
When you want to shut down, just slide from the middle of the status bar to about an icon's length, press the power icon, and say shut down.

When you want to start from a shut down iPod, just plug it in a computer with a USB port.

hold the home button and plug it in the computer and keep holding it until its in recovery mode. then restore and download and sync some apps and music so it doesnt look obvious you restored and take it to apple. they will never know

use aptbackup from cydia to back it up and then before you put your ipod in recovery mode plug it into itunes and right click the device and make a back up. then restore.

well, you can turn it on when you plug it in. i suggest plugging it in, and restoring. then take it to an Apple Store.
