Hi, I was wondering if there was an alternative control for navigating through the iBoot menu. I'm not sure what its called, but it's the one for selecting OSes. I'm asking this because I have an iPod Touch 1G with a broken lock button.

If not, is there a possibility of it being implemented in the future? I'm really interested in Android OS.

yeah, Activator can do basic control and mix them up. ( e.g. shake the ipod, it turns off, shake it again it turns on. the sleep wake button can control a search feature. you can also open certain apps with different actions, Activator is the bomb!!!)

you need a power button to use it indeed. and about Activator, it can't work outside of iPhone OS..

I have no idea about the iboot menu or whatever, but if you want to fix the sleep button problem, then download "quicklock" from cydia. It gives you an app on your springboard that when u touch the icon, it goes to sleep mode. Then hit the home button to wake it up again.
