My ipod touch doesn't give any sound, not movies or music.

No sound from where? And try to set it in a bowl of uncooked rice, it should soak up all the water.

To be specific, there is a small fuzz sound when the headphones are plugged in. I don't see the point of having a ipod touch when the sound is F'ed up. Great, over 400 dollars down the drain...

Yeah, I would try to rice thing but I don't have any and have already done the hair dryer thing. I had just turned my touch on and the battery thing had appeared, but it is flashing off and on. I put it in my cold room ( very dry in there ), I will leave it in there overnight and try it in the morning. Hopefully the sound starts working again. ( The ipod itself is making a beeping sound when the battery and charger thing is flashing off and on.

I don't see how charging my touch will help the sound return to my ipod.

take your ipod and dip the top half in water and make sure the water sensor in the headphone jack is white then take it to apple store say you were installing latest firmware, were resync your music and you came back at it was super hot, also leave it in the sun for a good couple hours
