Broken Home Button Questions

    What are the common faults to a broken home button?

    Like what mostly causes them, if you drop it, jailbreak,etc???

    pressing it a lot... like when you doublepress for the little music menu... if you do that 10,00000000000 times over the course of a year its gonna break.










    you have a giant signature and if you post a lot it will take up a lot of space (like this) 0_0

    Mine is loose already, that sux. I use the double home a lot.

    So jailbreaking it has nothing to do with it?

    Nope, can't imagine why, and always the option of restoring it anyway. Basically like other people have said, a lot of use the the button will eventually wear it out, and dropping the iPod can also potentially damage the button.

    Cant tell you how glad i am to hear that jailbreaking has nothing to do with the home button being broken, *sigh*!
    This means i gotta be careful with how i use the home button, also if anyone is on 2.2 for 1st generation ipod touch, have you noticed the sound quality or is it just me?

    mine broke yesterday but i think its because i got the invisible shield a week ago and the guy who was doing it maybe got the liquid stuff in the home button?

    I dont know, all im saying is way too many people are having problems with their home buttons. MUST PROTECT MINE =D

    Lol, I'm sorry, but how in the world could you possibly think jailbreaking was messing up your home button? Jailbreaking is a virtual thing. It's software. It's not going to cause a physical item, such as a home button, become looser.

    Yeah i realized it was a noobish question, but still it doesn't hurt to be curious.
