    Okay here we go:

    1. Download the 3.1.2 ipsw for your ipod.

    2. Plug in your ipod to your computer and open iTunes.

    3. Hit restore, but as the plug going to iTunes shows up UN-PPLUG your device.

4.Plug your device in, there should be an itunes warning that pops up saying your device is in recovery mode.

    5. Shift-click restore and find the 3.1.2 ipsw.

    6. Let your device restore and set up your ipod.

    7. Now download blackra1n.

    8. Make sure your device is plugged in and run blackra1n.

    9. Jailbreak it!

i wouldn't think this works. because recovery mode is way different than DFU mode.

Recovery mode was only needed to downgrade.

You can't put the device in recovery mode with the home/power button.

ahuhm. yes, you can put a device in recovery mode with the home button.

    1. Make sure its off
    2. Hold the home button
    3. plug it in
    4. keep holding it until its in recovery.

Wow, really? I never knew that.... I was always told I had to hold the power and home at the same time... Cool, thanks.
