I have a MacBook Pro 15" (non-unibody). I will be traveling overseas soon and I am wondering if I should take my laptop. I have a case for it but no lock. I will use it for multimedia stuff. d

Am I OK if I leave it in the hotel?

If I were you, I'd hide it somewhere in the hotel.

I suggest locking it someplace in the room. Ask the hotel folks if they have a locker or something where you could keep it.

Yes, don't just leave it lying around. The electronic safe would not be able to hold the laptop, so you may have to check with the hotel if they have locker storage or safes.

It may actually work. I mean who'd expect it to be there!

Anyway, have a great trip. I'm sure you'll manage to find some place in the hotel to keep it safe.
