I recently got an iPod Touch.

When I turn it on the screen is kind of dark (but still useful) for a while. After a while it brightens up to normal. The period of time that it is dark varies from nothing to several minutes.

    Any ideas?

Turn auto-brightness off in settings or just turn your brightness up.......
