    This is why I think Apple may somehow combine the MBA and MBP or, more likely, take away the CD drive from the MBP, make it thinner, and add an SSD.

    That means 10.9 won't be supported on my MacBook Pro :(

    But see, your Mac will last much longer than a PC because...well, apple isn't supporting your Mac anymore. Sorry.

    It is pretty obvious what Apple is doing.

    Why would they give their employees $500 off a new Mac every two years if their devices are built to last.

    Plain and Simple, Apple wants to sell you new overpriced devices every two years.

    It feels like a massive kick in the teeth... I only just got onto the OSX bandwagon with a dirt cheap Macbook Mid 2007 C2D, and now it's obselete! Still, my transition to OSX has been amazing, so I can see myself upgrading to a newer model soon. I will probably have to resort to a refurb model as I couldn't stomach spending £1000 plus on a computer.
