    Hope you can help me.

First of all, I have an iPod Touch 1st gen 16gb with 3.0 OS.
Second of all, my ipods home button does not work.

Okay so, I wanted to jailbreak my ipod by using redsn0w. I get the ipod into DFU (how you say, without a home button? easy, do the shift click restore trick and it goes into dfu, read about it on the forums somewhere) and then run redsn0w to complete the jailbreaking process.

It completes, and then the ipod reboots and I get the Connect to iTunes thing. It's stuck on that screen, I can't get out of it. I cannot plug my ipod in any computer (tried many) because it just doesn't show up on the computer at all, doesn't even make a bading.

I can't put it into DFU or restore mode because iTunes doesn't recognize it, neither does my OS. And my home button doesn't work.

    Any ideas?

Well to put it into DFU it first has to recognize that an iPod is plugged in, and as far as I can tell, not even libusb is doing that.
