Hey, my ipod is messed up.

I was getting the error (6) message every time i restored, so i downgraded from a custom 1.1.4 to normal 1.1.1 in DFU mode. Still got error 6. AND now my ipods screen is black. My itunes dosnt recognize it and ive just tryed the "hold down for 10 seconds" to get into DFU mode and a little box pops up on the start bar saying:

One of the USB devices attached to this computer has malfunctioned and windows does not recognize it. For assistance in solving this problem, click this message.

Only good thing.... i might be in DFU mode... if i hold down the home and power button for 10 seconds then i get the bubble pop up on the taskbar with that error again. That shows that there must be some response from the ipod.

so atm i would say my ipod is bricked.

    The screen is black
    I cannot turn on
    I cannot put into recovery
My computer does not recognise it
My computer is telling me that the device is "malfunctioned"
maybe a differnt ipod-usb cord - didnt work
it wont let me install the drivers
    I have tryed on XP
I have tryed on a different computer running Vista
Ziphone cannot restore because my computer dosnt even see the ipod, it only sees it as a usb divice.
When i manual restore, nothing happens
ipod doesn't show up in itunes
ziphone dosnt even pick it up, ibrickr dosnt pick it up, my computer, and ive tested on another computer wont pick it up. I cant turn it on. I can plug it in, get the error, hold down home and power button for 10 seconds and the error comes up again.
My computer sees it as an "Unknown Device"
held down the home and power button for a while like a min or 2, nothing happened

EDIT! :: Just tryed on a MAC computer.... nothing happened... looks like its the apple store for me

    any help?

apparently it might be hardware failure

    please help

I Believe your touch is still in DFU mode - the problem is likely to be on the computers side. Try restoring on a mac, or on a different win PC. Tell me if it helps!
