bricked my ipod

    i just bricked my ipod when someone was trying to help me manually jailbreak... so lol now im screwed... if i go to the apple store is there a story i can tell them that will get me an ipod lol

    Manual? As in you opened it up? If the answer's no, then your iPod's not bricked.

    Restore. It might be in DFU mode you know, if you failed at jailbreaking.

    how?? i dont know.. someone was trying to help me jailbreak.. now its bricked... black screen... pressing the home and power button wont work... i need a solution or a story to tell apple

    Hold home and power at the same time for 10 seconds. Trust me

    lol well i think i managed to do it... my pc is telling me usb device not recognized... and noww my ipod wont turn on.. its just a black screen

    try putting it into DFU mode...

    Hold Home and lock buttons for 10 seconds, then release lock but keep holding home for 7 more seconds.

    You should here some beeps.

    do a systems restore to a earlier date or time today
