I attempted to do the upgrade to 1.1.2, which completely undid all of the hacks. I then tried to bring it back to 1.1.1, and it failed with "Unknown Error 1604". Now its its recovery mode, but restoring it to either 1.1.1 or 1.1.2 results in the same error. Does anyone have any suggestions?

Solved: Check my second post in this topic.

:S I've heard reports that downgrading was possible, but I have not dared try the update yet.. so... maybe someone else can pipe up

I was able to fix this by doing a restore from a different computer. I have no idea why, but I read somewhere on the apple support forums that trying a different computer can help if theres errors in doing a restore from recovery mode. Mabey it generates different firmware decryption keys to decrypt the dmgs within the ispw or something.

Just do a restore, you'll be fine. You may have to enter Recovery Mode, but that's no big deal.

And to answer the question about downgrading to 1.1.1, yes it can be done. I've done it several times today.
