Okay I'm gonna need some help here. My iPod last night did a spontaneous respring off of my springboard, followed by two more before I shut it off. It was an image of my springboard the entire time, with each successive loader placed on top of the old one. After I shut it off, I attempted to boot. Now, whenever (I presume) springboard attempts to start, I get this same problem, except over the apple logo instead. It resprings 3 times, followed by the scren flashes white, then goes dark, and it starts all over again.
    Any suggestions?
(currently attempting to install iRecovery so I can hopefully diagnose the problem)

Connect it to your PC, then turn it off, then enter DFU mode.
    (Press Power for 3 Seconds)
(Whilst holding power press home for 10 Seconds)
(Without releasing Home, release power and wait 30 seconds)

nothing. it did it by itself. my only thought is that the last thing i installed (immediatly before) did it.
If you're wondering, it was panorama. its on cydia.

I was hoping to do an upgrade to 4.0 then rejailbreak, but i was hoping to back it up beforehand. I managed to back up most of my themes, other than the ones i installed within the last week so all I want to keep is my app data.

That is most likeny what caused the brick, is you can say into it I'll tell you what to do to fix the respiring loop. Have you tried just letting it do it's think? Sometimes I just let is dothe respiring loop and the hard reset. Then after t reboots it will go into safemode

thanks for trying, but I'm just gonna restore up to 4.0 and I'll just have to re-enter all the stuff.

alright. try and get into the springboard's safemode. (SBSettings, Shutdown, Safe Mode.)
go into cydia, and then uninstall panorama. then reboot.
