I tried to jailbreak my ipod touch just a few hours ago. i was able to get it into DFU mode and install the hacked version of the Firmware. After that, when it came to booting the ipod touch i was not able to get it to work. it kept asking that i put the ipod in DFU and plug it in. none of it worked.

So, it looks like i have a jailbroken ipod touch, just can't use it.

I need a solution as soon as possible. this device was going to be a long trip companion. (trip in 2 days...)

    Help.........

Plug in your iPod and try running the boot.bat file that should have came with all the files you downloaded. Follow the instructions there.

Bricking is now impossible, Only way to brick your iPod is with pure neglect. Or you could try taking it apart and filling it with cement and then putting it back together.
