    Ok I jailbroke 1.1.4 awhile ago with iLiberty+ and have been running that no problem. I decide to JB 2.0 and I'm following the sticky guide on here. Well on the first part where it says to restore to a fresh 2.0. I click restore, itunes downloads 2.0, i starts the restore process, about 5 minutes later it says "the iphone could not be restored error code (6)". I click ok and it says iphone is in recovery mode, use itunes to restore. So I download "iPhone1,1_2.0_5A347_Restore" file from the modmyiphone.com or something like that. I do shift+click restore. same error! I restart computer and try a different USB port, cable directly plugged into my iphone. same error again.

    I ran the ibrickr program and it shows a green background. When I turn my iphone on it just has the black background with a ipod cable plugin picture. I tried DFU mode several times and pretty sure it was actually in DFU mode because the screen was blank and itunes detected it, but it said recovery mode in itunes. I'm on itunes 7.7.0

    I'm not sure what else to try besides sending it to apple. Is it possible to enter DFU mode from the ipod cable plug in picture?

    Get itunes 7.5

    Use ziphone or do it manually and boot it into DFU mode.

    Shift+Click restire on 1.1.4 STOCK

    Get itunes 7.7

    DFU

    Restore to 2.0

    why would that help? can I just use itunes 7.7 to restore to 1.1.4 and then try restoring to 2.0?

    see, itunes 7.5 does not support 64bit windows so I have to use 7.6 or higher.

    itunes 7.7 does not let you downgrade to 1.1.4

    Use VMWARE and make a virtual 32bit PC

    Restore to a fresh copy of 1.1.4 then click update to your copy of 2.0 while holding the shift button. You dont need an older version of itunes unless you need to restore your ipod because you completely messed it up during the pwning process. I have a 64bit copy of Vista ultimate and am running Itunes 7.7 and never needed to downgrade itunes or do any of that.

    Is it a stock 2.0 or pwned?

    Stock = upgrade
    Pwned = dfu restore
