    This has been repeatedly covered:

    I doubt you've bricked it.

You need to put it in restore mode.

Keep holding the 2 buttons, until you see the apple logo.

Stop holding the power button, but still keep holding the home button, and you will see an image of the iPod connector and the logo of iTunes.

    It should restore now.

Make sure it is plugged in via USB whilst doing this.

    Good luck. -Stenosis

That worked but it took 2 minutes of holding haha.
I cant get it jail broken though,
    with touchefree.exe
    and the jailbreak.bat
    solutions.
Ive tried both and they get stuck at patching ipod image.

try deleting the two keys in the touchfree directory. Then try and jailbreak it. Mine locked up the second time after an update due to the keys. I removed and everything was fine.

I tried a couple of times and it took a full restore each time for it to work properly. So restore before attempting each jailbreak.

    Good luck!

Did you go to the site jailbreak.toc-something.com before using the programs?

I really flipped out because it ALWAYS stopped at the patching message...until I realized that I didnt go to that webpage
